Bali Zoo is a place of various animals, environmental conservation, nature and wildlife area. Bali Zoo is located in Singapadu Village, Sukawati, Gianyar, Bali. This zoo isn’t just for family recreation, but also a place for preserving endangered animals. This zoo have up to 450 species of endangered animals such as peacocks, Bali starlings, Sumatran tigers, eagles, cassowaries, deer, lions, African lions, camels and kangaroos.


Things to explore in Bali Zoo

Beside of seeing all animals, visitors can also feed some tame animals such as deer, elephants and rabbits. Petting Zoo is open from 10AM to 5PM.

In Kampung Sumatra, you can take pictures with orangutans. The staff will help you taking the pictures by your own camera. It’s available from 2.30PM to 3PM.

After exploring Bali Zoo, you can have a lunch in Okavango Restaurant which located next to the entrance gate.  There you can have a lunch with delicious western food menus while accompanied by African lions. You can also come to another restaurant, Elephant View Restaurant. There you can have asian food menus while the elephants will accompany your lunch.

You can also enjoy the other activities there, such as night safari expedition, breakfast with orangutan, mahout (elephant riding) for a day, pony riding (for kids only), the treewalk adventure and jungle splash waterplay.

At the end, you can take home some special merchandises of Bali Zoo such as t-shirts, photo frames, mugs, egg paintings, handicrafts and many more by purchasing them in their official merchandise store.
